Description of the path
The Human-machine interaction and smart computing technologies path consists of 3 courses:
- Internet of Things (IoT) in combination with advanced mobile connectivity (5G)
- Human-machine interaction, touch interfaces, and accessible GUIs
- Artificial intelligence and expert systems
This path aims to:
- increase awareness of the emerging trends and capabilities of smart computing technologies like Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI);
- promote understanding of human-machine interaction principles, touch interfaces, and the development of accessible graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for diverse user groups;
- acquire knowledge of the fundamental principles and applications of specific technologies like IoT, touch interfaces, accessible GUIs, artificial intelligence, and expert systems.
- foster critical thinking about the ethical considerations, potential challenges, and societal impacts of smart computing technologies and AI-driven systems;
- encourage students to explore existing solutions and create innovative technologies for various problems and challenges by leveraging the combined power of human intelligence and smart technologies.
After completing this path, participants will:
- establish a strong foundation for further study or specialization in areas such as human-machine interaction, AI, IoT, or related interdisciplinary fields;
- acquire proficiency in designing and implementing IoT solutions, AI-driven solutions and systems with enhanced efficiency and effectiveness for real word applications;
- gain a comprehensive understanding of human-machine interaction principles, touch interfaces, and accessible GUI design, enabling them to create user-friendly interfaces for diverse user groups;
- gain a comprehensive understanding of the interplay between various technologies like IoT, mobile connectivity, AI, and human-machine interaction, enabling them to contribute to the development of innovative, smart solutions in various industries;
- become equipped to critically analyze and assess the potential benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations involved in the integration of AI and smart technologies into different aspects of society;
- enhance career prospects by acquiring valuable knowledge and skills relevant to careers in fields like user experience (UX) design, software development, AI engineering, and other areas related to human-computer interaction and smart technologies, making participants more competitive in the job market.
All courses can be taken:
- individually by students, employees, future entrepreneurs who want to develop businesses, unemployed youth who want to be entrepreneurs, and civil servants.
- or under the supervision of academic lecturers, training experts, and other stakeholders as part of the class or training program.
